The Porous Materials And Composites Research Group is part of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (member of the EUt+ consortium). Within EUt+. The research staff have recently become part of the European University of Technology Institute of Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies, EUTINN.

The group has a recognized expertise in porous materials and composites manufactured by powder metallurgy. Within the Porous metals axis, the major topic relates to manufacturing and characterization of metallic foams and filters with or without graded structure. The second axis refers to the manufacturing and characterization of composite materials.
